Getting Organic Traffic In Only 15 Days

I wouldn’t have believed it without seeing it with my own eyes.

In just 15 days, this domain has gone from 1 or 2 visitors a day, to being my #1 website out of all of my domains, some that I set up 4 or 5 years ago.

That’s the power of an optimized blog.

That’s the power of creating content daily, and sharing it with others.

Here’s a screen shot from my Google Analytics account.

organic traffic

As you can see, as recently as January 7th, this site was only generating 1 or 2 visitors a day, and the only reason it was doing that was because I had set it up about a year ago to re-direct to my other blog at DanGiercke.me

As you can see, on day one of starting to blog on this domain I had nearly 40 visitors.

What Have I Done To Generate Organic Traffic In Only 15 Days?

Actually, not much!

  1. I blog daily. Since January 7th I have written at least one blog post a day, and only did more than one a couple of times.
  2. I share my blog posts on social media using the social sharing buttons on each blog post. Facebook, Google+, Pinterest and Twitter are the four sites I’m currently sharing my blog posts to.
  3. I let the search engines know I have a new blog post by submitting it to Pingler.com
  4. I share my blog post on LinkedIn
  5. I sometimes send a link to my email list of about 600 people.

I don’t do any black hat SEO strategies.

I hardly do any on page SEO. In fact, I have yet to use the Google Keyword Tool to research a popular keyword and use it in a blog post. Had I done that, I’d likely be getting even better results.

Now I recognize 40-60 visitors a day isn’t going to put me up in the top 1000 websites on the internet.

What I am encouraged by though, is that in only 15 days this site has gone from no traffic to being my most visited website, and is already generating new leads into my business.

What Can I Do To Get More Organic Traffic?
