How many times do you find yourself saying “I have to”…
I have to go to work.
I have to pick up my kids.
I have to take the kids to soccer practice.
I have to go to bed early tonight.
You might argue all of those are true statements, but I disagree!
You don’t “have to” do any of those things.
You have a choice!
Someone shared this lovely poem with me earlier today.
It reminded me that it’s truly important to love yourself first. Without self love, life will be a struggle.
There’s a saying that says if our friends talk to us the way we talk to ourselves, we wouldn’t have any friends, and it’s so true!
Enjoy the Poem As I Began To Love Myself
Easier said than done you’re likely thinking.
And you’d be right.
It’s not an easy task surrendering your ego, but it is freeing once you do.
Earlier today I was watching a training video and I had a flashback to a revelation I discovered about myself a few years ago.
I shared it here in this video, and I believe it may help you too.
Watch the video, and let me know what you think in the comments below.
We’ve all heard them.
THOUSANDS OF TIMES!
Which is why they’re keeping us stuck.
We heard them when we were young everytime we touched something we shouldn’t have, said something that wasn’t just right, looked at something the wrong way, or had an idea that didn’t fit well with our someone else’s ideas.
They were the words we heard repeatedly all throughout our childhood, and today they’re still controlling our actions because of the beliefs we formed around hearing them.
Curious what those 5 little words could be?
I’ll bet you’ve never thought of it like that.
Have you ever ridden a horse?
You know that it will turn when you move the reins from side to side.
It will go faster as you give it a kick with your heels.
It will slow or stop when you pull back on the reins and say WOAH!
What happens if the HORSE wants to go somewhere else?
Watch the video to see what I mean.
I’ve just recently discovered this book “Wake Up And Live” by Dorothea Brande, and I’m already loving it!
Have you heard of it?
You can choose to examine the choices you made growing up.
You can examine the beliefs you’ve formed, and analyze where they came from.
Are they still serving you?
If not, it’s ok, because you can change that belief.
You formed it, and you can change it.
Believe you are more powerful than you imagine.
Have You Ever Considered The True Power Of Your Subconscious Mind?
When was the last time you consciously thought about beating your heart…
Or breathing through your lungs…
Or digesting your food…
Or any of the other millions of programs your sub-conscious mind controls every day of your life.
Just like all of these life sustaining programs are being run and controlled by your subconscious, so are most of your programs that determine your health, wealth and happiness.
So many of us want to change everything around us, but resist so much the thought of changing anything about ourselves.
We don’t want to change our thinking, change our beliefs, change our habits.
We want to stay comfortable, safe inside our comfort zone.
The problem is, staying safe and comfortable leads to old, tired, miserable, and disappointed in all the things we didn’t do.
We only get one shot at life, so why not live life to the fullest, and who knows – you might just find you can change the world!
Do you wake up each day thinking this day is just another ordinary day?
What if it was the last day of your life?
How would you choose it live it?
